Encouragement - The Pep Talk

I had to see her one more time, alone. Had to get her away from her parents, her tutors and especially her trainers. Those humans are just so overbearing that it makes me glad to be dragon and not human or I'd had them for breakfast moons ago. But this wee one, shy and meek, caught my attention, so innocent for such of her kind. I just had to see her once more before we flew off into her first battle with the rising of the next sun. What shall I say to this little one? I will say to her as I say to you now, the one reading this. "No matter what happens, no matter how far you seem to be away from where you want to be, never stop believing that you will somehow make it. Have an unrelenting belief that things will work out, that the long road has a purpose, that the things that you desire may not happen today, but they will happen.
